BGSBU organizes one Day National Webinar on recent trends in Energy & Power

RajouriA national webinar on “Recent Trends in Energy and Power” was organized by the department of Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri on 1st, October, 2021.
Prof. Akbar Masood, Vice-Chancellor, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University applauded the department of Electrical Engineering especially Head Mr. SHAFQAT NABI MUGHAL for organizing the webinar. Prof. Akbar said there is a need to remain informed regarding new trends in Power and Energy. This will be useful for understanding the issues in traditional energy technologies and subsequent emergence of new technologies.
Prof. Iqbal Parwez, Dean Academic Affairs congratulated the department for organizing the event. He urged upon the faculty members to come up with cutting edge research for the greater benefits of the society.
Dean SoET,Prof Asif Hussain in his address welcomed the guest speaker Dr. Naveen Kumar Sharma (Assistant Professor ,I.K.G Punjab Technical University, Kapurthala, Punjab) and highlighted the accomplishments that SoET is achieving.
Head, Electrical Engineering Mr. SHAFQAT Mughal provided the welcome address and introduced the guest speaker. During his talk, He briefed the participants that there is growing transition from Non renewable energy sources towards Renewable Energy sources like Solar and Wind Power.
Dr. Naveen Kumar Sharma, in his presentation elaborated on the role of Renewable Energy Sources in meeting the growing energy demand worldwide. He spoke about the various government initiatives to reduce the Co2 concentration involving all the states to start producing electricity from Renewable energy sources.
Faculty members, Research Scholars and Students from institutions within and outside the university actively participated in the event. At the end vote of thanks was presented by Mr. Gaurav Kumar (Assistant Professor, Electrical).
