Srinagar/ September 29:- Saying that return of Pandits to Kashmir valley  was  essential to preserve the basic  concept and values of Kashmiryat ,    Chairman People’s Democratic Front ( PDF )Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has urged the need for protection of the  immovable property of kashmiri pandit migrants . The PDF Chairman called for stern action  against any such unscrupulous element  who may have encroached or alienated migrant property illegally . A” ” At the same time , those who have acquired migrant property with the consent of migrant landlord and after  following the due process of law should not be coerced and harassed , Hakeem added .
In a statement issued on Wednesday , Hakeem while urging the need for return of Kashmiri pandit migrants to thier homes and hearths for preservation of the rich traditions of Kashmiryat  , has sought  protection and preservation of the immovable migrant property under J&K Migrant Immovable Property Act . However ,he has cautioned that some  elements and black sheep within migrant community  were misusing the Act to harras even those   who have acquired  migrant property on the consent and will of the landlord  ,after following all the required legal formalities by floating fake complaints .
He said a genuine buyer of the   migrant property should in no case be  harassed  under the garb of the Act and no fake complaints about distress sale of the migrant property should be entertained . He said  harrasment to the genuine buyers of the migrant property on fake complaints , made  by unscrupulous element , would only create bitterness in the relations and bonds of brotherhood and mutual trust between the two communities . PDF Chairman  said that strict action need to be taken  against those who might have encroached and alienated migrant property fradulantly without the consent and will of the landlord . He has also sought strict action against those unscrupulous elements who make false and fake complaints and claims for retrieving their property with the sole motive to harras and defame  a particular community .
PDF Chairman has assured the pandit migrants that majority community in Kashmir is eagerly waiting for their  return to their homes and hearths as it was essential to preserve the spirit of Kashmiryat and rich traditions of communal harmony and brotherhood. He said civil society in Kashmir was  also of the view that immovable property of   pandit migrants encroached or  alienated illegally in any part of the valley should be retrieved honestly  adding that protection to migrant property was enshrined even  in the tenants of religion . ” However , whosoever has purchased migrant property legally should not be harassed on fake complaints made by some black sheep in the Kashmiri migrant community , ” Hakeem maintained .He said despite unfortunate turn of situation post -1990  and repeated  provocations from the enemies of peace to create wedge   between the two communities , , the sweet  relationship of love and respect between pandit migrants and majority community continue to exists with a strong hope and belief about their reunion in near future .
