DGP sanctions medical/welfare relief of over rupees 12 lakh in favour of SPOs & NoKs of martyrs

Srinagar: Continuing with its endeavour to provide succor to the NoKs of martyrs, SPOs in the time of need, the Director General of Police J&K Shri Dilbag Singh has sanctioned financial assistance/ medical relief over rupees 11.60 lakh in favour of 40 SPOs and welfare relief of rupees 90 thousand in favour of NoK’s of martyred police personnel vide two different orders.
Vide order No. 2895 financial assistance/medical relief of rupees 1168965 has been sanctioned in favour of 40 SPOs engaged with J&K Police in different districts/wings. The assistance provided has been sanctioned out of SPOs Contributory Fund/Police Pariwar fund ranges from rupees ten thousand to rupees fifty thousand.
Similarly, vide order no. 2892 welfare relief of rupees ninety thousand has been sanctioned in favour of NoK’s of three martyred police personnel to defray the expenses in connection with self treatment or treatment of their dependents. The welfare relief amount ranges from rupees 15000 to rupees 50000 and has been sanctioned out of the Police Pariwar fund.
It is pertinent to note here that Police Headquarters is running many schemes for the welfare of its personnel and their families. There are also schemes for the wards of Police personnel and SPOs. Besides, there are schemes for the NoKs of martyrs, their wards and also for the retired Police personnel and their spouses.
