Shopian: The District Magistrate (DM) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishay stressed for further intensifying the Covid-19 vaccination drive across Shopian district during a meeting convened here at Mini Secretariat Arhama Shopian, to review the progress of Covid-19 vaccination drive and CAB in Shopian district.
The meeting was attended by CMO Shopian, Dr. Arshid Hussain, Deputy CMO, Dr. Rubeena Maqbool, Tehsildars, CEO, ACD, DIO, BMOs ,BDOs and various senior level Public Health officers.
The DM reviewed the progress achieved in the ongoing vaccination campaign against Covid-19 in the Shopian district. He stressed for further intensifying the Covid-19 vaccination drive across Shopian in all eligible age groups. At the outset, DIO briefed the DM about the doses of vaccination administered so far and the target achieved.
The DM directed the District Officers and officials to augment further vaccination teams in the district and also directed the CMO Shopian to ensure that an eligible population can get hassle free vaccination jabs.
The DM further directed CMO Shopian to identify these low coverage and hot spot areas in his district and pace up the vaccination drive on a Mission Mode Model in the district. Sachin also directed to utilize the services of supportive staff in the form of BLOs, Patwaris, Anganwadi workers, ASHAs, Teachers etc to further strengthen the Covid-19 vaccination drive across Shopian district.
