DC B’la takes stock of revenue matters

Baramulla: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar Monday chaired a meeting of concerned Revenue Officers at dak bunglow here to take stock of various revenue matters besides taking a brief appraisal of related aspects.
During the meeting, the DC impressed upon the Revenue Officers to work with dedication and zeal for delivering public services in a smooth and transparent manner. He stressed upon the concerned authorities to ensure the completion of Jamabandi, Girdawari and directed to remove all types of encroachments from State/ Kahcharai lands.
Kumar also impressed upon all Tehsildars to revive and strengthen the institutions of Lumberdars and Chowkidars and revamp the gross roots level functionaries with more vigour and vitality so that they can be instruments of change at village level and also help the Revenue Administration in identification of encroachers as well as saving the Government land from being encroached.
He exhorted upon the Revenue Officers to enthuse vibrancy in revenue administration and make it people friendly and responsive for mitigating the grievances of people and fulfilling the targets/ requirements being assigned to the department.
Later, the DC chaired a separate meeting to review the regularization of existing over ground telecom infrastructure in the district.
Meeting was attended by ACR, SDM Uri, Tehsildars, BDOs and Executive Officers of MCs among other concerned functionaries.
On the occasion, the DC took a detailed review of various aspects which include Permissions/Renewal and regularization of permission for the installation of over ground telecom infrastructure. He directed the concerned authorities to facilitate the executing agencies with every type of necessary support so that the process is completed smoothly.
He further emphasized to abide by the timeline set for different components pertaining to telecom infrastructure.
