DC B’gam extensively tours distt areas

Receiving Station Dadina completed, to be commissioned soon; Sholipora-Udroo Bridge to be ready by end of Oct: DC

Budgam: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza accompanied by concerned district and sectoral officers Wednesday took an extensive tour of various villages of the district including Watrehail, Dadina, Shoolipora and Hokhelatri.
During the visit, the DC said that the aim and objective of this visit to have an on spot assessment and status of ongoing developmental works presently under execution, besides to have first hand appraisal of the ground situation of these areas relating to availability of basic amenities, essentials and also to listen to the demands and grievances that the population of these areas are presently facing.
The DC enroute to these areas first took a detailed inspection of 10MVA receiving station Dadina completed at a cost of 5.26Cr. including the cost of 33KV and 11Kv lines. He said that the receiving station is almost complete in all aspects barring some minor finishing touches and will be commissioned soon for discharge.
Earlier in his first stopper of the visit, the DC inspected the huge patch of 20 kanals of agriculture land reshaped and transformed into agriculture and horticulture Cultivation again after being under brick kilns use almost for 20 years.
Mirza appreciated the efforts of the concerned agriculture unit and its employees in persuading the owners to rethink about the further use of barren land. There he also inspected the latest methods of making vermicompost fertilizers organically.
Later, the DC accompanied by all officers conducted a public interaction programme at Sholipora school ground where apart from locals some deputations from adjacent areas apprised the DC about various issues particularly relating to improvement of roads, improvement in water supply, upgradation of health services, schools and establishing of animal and sheep husbandry units.
Similar proceedings were also conducted at village Hokhelatri where a large gathering had assembled to participate in the interaction session.
Responding to the issues and demands that the people of these villages raised, the DC once again reiterated that the district Administration is committed that such initiatives shall prove result oriented and fruitful for the common people.
He said that his top most priority shall be to address as many issues as he can that are within his domain without wasting any time.
The DC also assured the public that they themselves can feel the difference and witness ground results very soon. He also added that the works under execution shall be completed before the onset of winters.
The DC during the visit also took a detailed inspection of PHC Sholipora where he took stock of the facilities and services being provided to the patients, besides he also conducted an administrative checkup of the PHC to know about the requirements.
During the day-long visit, various officers accompanied the DC including the CMO, CEO, ACD, CAO, DPO, all Ex. Engineers and other concerned.
