Kishtwar admin intensifies Covid testing at entry points

ADDC reviews formulation of DDM Plan; implementation of Forest Rights Act

Kishtwar: District Administration Kishtwar has intensified covid testing and other Covid containment measures including intensive testing at entry points.
The information was shared at a meeting held Tuesday to review the progress of the formulation of District Disaster Management Plan and implementation of Forest Right Act besides COVID 19 mitigation and enforcement measures placed in the district.
Additional District Development Commissioner Sham Lal chaired the meeting attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishori Lal Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Revenue Akhter Hussain Qazi; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Zakir Hussain; Chief Medical Officer Kishtwar Dr R S Manhas besides all Tehsildars.
A detailed review of the mitigation and enforcement measures being placed in to prevent fresh surge of the COVID 19 cases in the district was taken.
The Chief Medical Officer apprised the meeting about the progress of the vaccination and testing exercise besides the registration of the leftover persons under the SEHAT-scheme.
The ADDC asked Health Department and tehsil administrations to work in close coordination for the effective implementation and enforcement of preventive measures for the safety of people.
The ADDC directed the concerned officers to intensify the vaccination drive at Panchayat levels and rope in the PRIs and the youth Club members in the exercise to aware the left out persons through IEC activities so that they get vaccinated.
All the Tehsildars were asked to further strengthen the testing at the check nakas in their jurisdictions and monitor the screening of the staff and students who are going to resume the class work.
The ADDC Kishtwar asked all the Tehsildars to submit the data regarding the District Disaster Management micro-Plan on prescribed format for further submission to concerned quarters so that the decision supports system would be strengthened effectively at all levels in district.
