Justice Magrey inaugurates V S Kendra at DCC Samba, Legal Literacy Club at Bhargava Public School

Jammu : Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Judge, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Executive Chairman, J&K Legal Services Authority in presence of Justice Sindhu Sharma, Judge, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Administrative Judge for District Samba, and Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, Judge, High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh Saturday inaugurated Vidhik Seva Kendra at District Court Complex, Samba.
The prime objective behind this significant and timely initiative is to provide relief to the masses across the district in filing cases in the High Court through virtual mode with the help of DLSA Samba. The Kendra will ensure effective delivery of legal services at the doorsteps of the litigant besides it shall be dedicated to serve the common litigant as a one stop centre for all his/her court related needs.
Immediately after inauguration of Vidhik Seva Kendra, a petition was received for filing from Advocate Hitesh Sharma which he e-submitted to the High Court for processing.
Among those who attended the function were Sonia Gupta Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Samba, Anuradha Gupta, Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Arvind Sharma, CJM, Samba, Dinesh Sharma, Joint Registrar (Protocol), High Court of J&K and Ladakh, Vinod Kumar, Special Mobile Magistrate (Traffic), Jammu, Pawan Kumar Khajuria, DDP Kathua-Samba, Rajesh Sharma, SSP Samba, Slahuddin Ahmed, Secretary DLSA Samba, Javaid Ahmad Khwaja, Public Prosecutor, Samba, Aijaz Zargar, Additional SP, Samba, Madhu Sharma, Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, Samba, Rashi Verma, Additional Munsiff, Samba, Poonam Gupta, Munsiff Samba, Advocates, Panel Lawyers, Court staff and PLVs.
Also, Justice Magrey, Chairman, Building and Infrastructure Committee in presence of Justice Sindhu Sharma and Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul chaired a meeting regarding infrastructure development.
The meeting was attended by Sonia Gupta, Anuradha Gupta and representatives of concerned departments.
The meeting had a detailed discussion on several issues concerning the Building and Infrastructure of Judicial Institution at Samba.
Meanwhile, Judges had interactive sessions with the Judicial Officers, Panel Lawyers, PLVs, Mediators and Bar Association Samba as well.
Later, Justice Magrey in presence of Justice Sindhu Sharma and Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul inaugurated a Legal Literacy Club at Bhargava Public School, Supwal, Samba.
Sonia Gupta, Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Samba, in her welcome address stated that the primary function of the Legal Literacy Club in schools is to spread Legal Literacy in the area besides acting as a bridge between the persons in need of Legal Services and Legal Services Institutions.
Justice Magrey emphasized that the main aim of opening this Legal Literacy Club is to educate and empower students about their legal rights and give them a medium to highlight their grievances at school level and encourage them to make others also aware of their legal rights and duties.
The programme was attended by Anuradha Gupta, Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Dinesh Sharma, Joint Registrar (Protocol), High Court of J&K and Ladakh, Vinod Kumar, Special Mobile Magistrate (Traffic), Jammu, Slahuddin Ahmed, Secretary DLSA Samba, Bhupinder Singh, Government Advocate, Onkar Sharma, CEO Samba, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Chairman, Bhargava Group of Institutions, Sanjeev Sharma, Managing Director, Bhargava Group of Institutions, Professor Keshav Sharma, Academic Director, Bhargava Group of Institutions, Subhash Kumar, Principal, Bhargava Public School, Samba, Panel Lawyers, teachers, students and PLVs.
