Case of Grenade attack on Langate CRPF camp solved, 3 OGWs arrested: Army

Srinagar: Army on Thursday said it has resolved the case of grenade attacj on Langate CRPF camp by arresting three OGWs in this connection.
In a statement issued on Thursday evening the PRO Defence of Srinagar base chinar corps said that during investigation of the case of Grenade attack on CRPF Camp Langate, on a reliable input from Jammu & Kashmir Police (JKP), Handwara a joint CASO was on Thursday evening launched by parties including 30 RR & SOG, Handwara and during detailed search of houses, one OGW namely Ishfaq Ah Dar S/o Wali Mohd Dar R/o Shatpora Mohalla, Langate was apprehended”.
Stating that on the disclosure of the above named detained OGW the Joint CASO team recovered Arms and Ammunition from his possession and on further interrogation involvement of 02 more OGWs namely Jamsheed Ah Shah S/o Sunallaha Shah R/o Chak Mohalla, Langate and Javed Ah Khan S/o Late Farooq Ah Khan R/o Asthan Mohalla, Langate came the fore and they were also apprehended along with arms and ammunition, army in the above quoted statement said “during detailed interrogation, it was revealed that all three OGWs were associated with LeT Tanzeem and were involved in supporting the militant activities and accepted their involvement into the 16th August grenade attack incident at Langate on 16 Aug 2021. The army in the above referred statement aso said that all the three OGWs have been booked under IPC Section 307 and Explosive Substances Act Section 3/4 of FIR No 260/2021 dated : 16th Aug 2021 of PS Handwara.
