G’bal: As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ campaign, the District Information Centre (DIC) Ganderbal Friday conducted an interaction cum sensitization program on Covid Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) with the Trade Union of Ganderbal to sensitize and promote Covid Appropriate Behaviour here.
During the program, the participants were made aware about CAB and other basic SOPs like washing hands frequently, wearing masks, maintaining social distance etc.
The District Information Officer (DIO) Ganderbal while speaking on the occasion requested the Trade Union representatives that the message regarding CAB and other basic precautions with regard to Covid shall reach to every shopkeeper of the town and urged them that CAB and SOPs are observed in letter and spirit so that possible 3rd wave could be prevented.
President Municipal Council, Ganderbal also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of observing CAB and said that active cooperation from all sections of society including shopkeepers is must to avert the COVID-9 pandemic in the district.
Representatives from Trade Union also shared their valuable suggestions regarding CAB and said that regular drives shall be conducted by the enforcement teams to enforce the CAB strictly in the district.
They also appreciated the DIC Ganderbal for conducting the program and said that awareness programs shall continue in other parts of the district so that messages regarding CAB could reach every citizen of the district.
President Municipal Council Ganderbal, Advocate Altaf Ahmad, DIO Ganderbal and officials of DIC Ganderbal were also present on the occasion.
