‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav’ Celebrations; Police organizes cleanliness drive in B’gam, Painting competition in B’pora

Srinagar: As part of ongoing country wide celebrations of Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav, Police organized a cleanliness drive at all police establishments in Budgam district, besides painting competition in Bandipora.
SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem kick started the drive at District Police Headquarters Budgam. DySP Headquarters Budgam Shri Fayaz Hussain-JKPS, DySP DAR Budgam Shri Ruhail Mircha-JKPS and other senior officers/jawans also participated enthusiastically in the cleanliness drive.
In DPL Budgam, the cleanliness drive was carried by DySP DAR Shri along with other officers/officials. Similarly, SDPOs of Khan Sahab, Magam and Charar-e-Sharief along with officers/officials carried out cleanness drives at their respective zones and towns. Besides, the cleanliness drives were also held by all SHOs and Chowki Officers along with officers/jawans in their respective Police establishments. Similarly in Bandipora, Police organised a painting competition at DPL Bandipora. The competition was held in two age groups Junior category (below 14 years) & Senior category (above 14 years) for both boys and girls. Total 50 participants contested in the event. Samin Alam of Srinagar, Toiba Tufail of Plan Bandipora, Sehreen Mir of Kaloosa Bandipora and Sabreena Khan of Muslimabad Bandipora bagged the positions in senior category competition. Likewise, Mania Singh, Lavaniya Raj and Abhinav Singh bagged positions in junior category competition.
After the culmination of the event, SSP Bandipora Shri Mohammad Zahid along with CO 3rd BN CRPF, DySP DAR DPL Bandipora and other senior police and CAPF officers present the prizes among the position holders. The winners of the competition were honoured with trophies and appreciation certificates. SSP Bandipora and other officers wished them good luck for their future.
SSP Bandipora in his address to the participants appreciated the success and intelligence of students as well as the organizers for mobilizing such a unique event. He also stressed upon the young budding artists of the district to explore their own thoughts and imagination through the medium of art.
Later on, the participants paid floral tributes to martyrs along with SSP Bandipora and other officers at Martyrs memorial DPL Bandipora.
