Srinagar: To celebrate 75th Independence Day “Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”-Fit India Freedom Run 2.0, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) organised Volley Ball Match between teaching faculty and non teaching staff in the University campus. The match was organised by Directorate Of Physical Education and Sports. The match was played between two teams comprising of teaching and non teaching staff of the university. The watch was won by team of teaching faculty by (2-0) in set of 3.
Prof Akbar Masood Vice Chancellor of the university was a chief guest on this occasion. In his address, Prof. Akbar emphasised on the importance of games and sports for the holistic growth and development of the youth. He said that with a view to develop the all round personality of the students, the University emphasizes as much on sports as on academics. Prof. Akbar said that the University is committed to provide all the necessary facilities and equipment to the students for maintaining physical fitness and good health.He congratulated the players who participated in the match.
