Srinagar,: In view of ongoing holy month of Muharram-ul-haram, Police in Budgam on Tuesday held interaction meetings with Shia leaders at District Police Headquarters Budgam.
The meetings were chaired by SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem and were attended by local representatives of Shia community. The meetings were held while following social distancing norms and other protocols.
During the meetings, discussions were held on various public issues with the participants regarding the ongoing holy month of Muharram amid Covid-19 pandemic. During these meetings, the main focus was laid on the adherence to Covid appropriate behaviour especially in view of the ongoing Muharram.
The participants assured their full support and cooperation to the Police. Police also urged the community for strict adherence to Covid SOPs including strictly restricting gatherings of not more than 25 vaccinated persons.
