Sports Department organises yoga competition for Under -19 girls at Udhampur

Udhampur: In continuation of District Level Inter Zonal Competition being held to mark Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, the Department of Youth Services & Sports Udhampur Tuesday organised Yoga Competition for U/19 year girl in badminton Hall, Mini Stadium Udhampur.
District Youth Services & Sports Officer, S. Swaran Singh was the chief guest at the inaugural function.
The competition is being organized under the direction of Director Youth Services & Sports J&K Government Gaznafar Ali. As many as 40 students drawn from different schools of 8 zones participated in the competition.
While addressing the gathering, the chief guest briefed the participants about the importance of “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav and educated them about Save Water, Say No to plastic, Say no to Drugs, Save Electricity, Clean India Green India, Fit India and Skill Development for new India awareness and the importance of hygienic.
Among others present were ZPEO Udhampur, Santosh Kumari; ZPEO JIB, Poonam Sharma; Lecturer Sahira Bano and Staff members of DYSSO. Romesh Sharma PEM; Sanjeev Kumar PEM; Karun Magotra PET; Jatin Sethi PET; Sanjeev Khajuria REK; Field staff Ajit Singh PEM; Meenu PET; REKs Anshu Brat Khanna, Nitin Singh Rathore, Vipin Photra, Atul Khajuria & Sourab Pandit were present on the occasion.
