DC Kupwara congratulates public, departments for achieving breakthrough in Covid mitigation

Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din Friday congratulated people and various departments in helping the district for achieving breakthrough in Covid pandemic mitigation.
The Deputy Commissioner was addressing a presser in his office chamber, here Friday.
Giving details, the Deputy Commissioner said that 98.18% people of above 45 year age and 35.29% of 18 to 44 year age group have been vaccinated till date. He said the positivity rate has declined to 0.2% while as, recovery rate has gone up to 98.6% which is a sign of satisfaction for the district.
The Deputy Commissioner reiterated his appeal to the people of the district to continuously follow the Covid appropriate behaviour and other SOPs. He appealed to people to come forward and administer Covid vaccine at nearby vaccination centres for their safety against the pandemic.
District Health Officer, Abdul Gani Dar and Nodal Officer Covid, Ghulam Nabi Sheikh were present at the occasion.
