Kupwara: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Imam Din, an awareness rally regarding COVID-19, was taken off from Boys Middle School Sogam Friday. The rally which was attended by school children from BMS and adjoining schools of Zone Sogam besides ASHA workers of health department, Angan Wadi Workers of ICDS went through various markets of Sogam and culminated at SDH Sogam. The students were seen with placards and banners in their hands displaying a message that we people in general should not show any negligence with regard to compliance of Covid Appropriate Behaviour.
The message was that people should not lower the guard against COVID-19 pandemic, else should follow COVID-19 SOPs in letter and spirit.
The rally was flagged off by Sub Divisional Magistrate Lolab Aijaz Ahmad in presence of officers of the subdivision Administration.
The programme was coordinated by the Nodal Officer G M Dar.
The rally, third of its kind in the district, was conducted as part of Azadika Amrut MAHAOTSAV .
