Strict Action against employees on unauthorized absence taken in Budgam

Budgam: In order to ensure punctuality of employees in Government offices in District Budgam, the Deputy Commissioner Budgam Mr. Shahbaz Ahmed Mirza here wednesday directed the Additional District Development Commissioner Budgam, Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Budgam, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Chadoora/Khansahib and all Tehsildars to conduct surprise inspection of various offices across the district and check the attendance of the employees. While inspecting the various offices, a no. of Government employees have been found unauthorisedly absent from duty in various departments/ offices.
Taking strong note of dereliction of duties by the employees the inspecting officers were directed to issue on spot show cause notices to the absentees and instruct the concerned treasuries to stop the salaries of erring employees.
Further the Deputy Commissioner has given strict directions to the above officers to conduct surprise inspection of the subordinate offices on regular basis in their respective jurisdiction to make Government employees accountable towards their legitimate duties and ensure transparency in dealing with public issues as well as grievances.
Meanwhile, the District officers shall also ensure that only vaccinated employees shall attend the offices, the DC said.
