Srinagar: Police on Saturday said that it has arrested an absconder in Kulgam who was evading his arrest for his involvement in case FIR No 180/2021 of Police Station Kulgam.
In a statement issued here on Saturday police said that acting on specific information regarding an absconder, a police party from Police Station Kulgam under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Kulgam raided the specified location and arrested one accused person identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Khan son of Fayaz Ahmad Khan resident of Chattabal Kulgam who was shifted to police station where he remains in custody.
Police in the above referred statement recalled that the said accused person was allegedly involved in kidnapping and sexually assaulting a girl in Chattabal Kulgam, stating therein further that investigation of the case is in progress.
