Kidnapped girl recovered within 20 hours in Bla : Police

Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said that it has recovered kidnapped girl in Palhallan area of North kashmir’s Baramullah district.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday police said that police post Palhallan received a written complaint from an individual wherein complainant stated that his minor daughter age about 17 years had been kidnapped by unknown person/persons from her home.
Stating that during the course of investigation, officers investigating the case, utilized all the available means and with strenuous efforts specific information was generated due to which the team recovered the kidnapped girl within 20 hours after the receiving the complaint.
Police in the above quoted statement however said that the accused person involved in the commission of crime managed to escape. The statement further reads “preliminary investigation suggests that the girl was kidnapped by Bilal Ahmad Waza son of Mohd Ashraf Waza resident of Palhallan Pattan and efforts are on to effect his arrest”.
In the concluding para of it’s statement police said “after fulfilling all medico-legal formalities, the girl has been handed over to her legal heirs and investigation into the matter is in progress”.
In the concluding para of the above referred statement police said that a case FIR No. 225/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Pattan and investigation is underway.
