Srinagar: Three persons were injured when a bear attacked them in the central Kashmir district of Ganderbal on Monday, official sources said.
They said a group of nomads were grazing their live-stock in the woods at Thajiwas in Sonamarg in Ganderbal when a bear attacked and injured them.
The injured have been taken to hospital, they said adding wildlife department officials have launched a drive to catch the wild animal.
This year wild animals killed about half a dozen person, including two minor girls, in the Kashmir valley during the past few months.
