Srinagar/July,18 : The Jammu and Kashmir Government on Sunday announced that higher education institutions and skill development centres may reopen for on-site operations after July 31 across Jammu & Kashmir. However, only those students and staff will be permitted to enter the premises who have been vaccinated.
In an official notification, the J&K govt said that the ongoing Covid protocols will remain in place following a survey that showed an uneven rise in Covid cases in Jammu & Kashmir. In view of Eid Ul Adha celebrations, shops across J&K will be allowed to open at 6 am instead of 7 am in order to avoid rush and overcrowding on July 19 and 20. The govt in it’s order also said “the public and private educational institutions are permitted to seek personal attendance of limited vaccinated staff for administrative purposes.” The government order further reads “Higher educational institutions and skill development centres may be considered for phased re-opening for onsite learning after July 31, subject to vaccination status of students and staff” .
