Srinagar: Police officers of 1979 batch including all retired Dy SPs and SPs held a commemoration meeting at Hotel MAEVELLA Srinagar .The participants highlighted the services of their colleagues who died in the line of their duties from 1990 onwards. Among 15 deceased 11 officers died in blasts or firing incident and four died normally. Special dua prayers were held by the participants for the deceased and pledged to take care of welfare of their kins and more special prayer meetings for them in future as well. The deceased are:-
1) Noor Mohammad khan, Vijay Kumar,Mushtaq Ahmed Mir, Sheik Nair, Altaf Bakshi, Gh. Hassan Naz, Ab. Rashid Malik, Ab Gafar, Gh. Nabi Parry, Gh. Geelani Baba, Abdul Khaliq,
Mohammad Sadiq, Mohammad Sharif Choudhry, Gulla Mir and Mohammad Mushtaq Bhat.
