SSP Bandipora chairs reviews Security Scenario & Crime investigation

Srinagar: SSP Bandipora Shri Mohmmad Zahid on Tuesday chaired a review meeting at conference Hall DPL Bandipora and Security measures, preventive measures taken to combat Covid-19 and other crime works. The meeting was held while following social distancing norms and other Covid protocols.
The meeting was attended by all SDPOs/ SHOs/ PPs of district Bandipora. During the meeting discussion was held on general crime work & FIRs registered in 2020-21, backlog cases and their disposal, conviction of all crime cases including cases related to terrorism & narcotics and cases of heinous nature. The overall security scenario of the district was discussed with jurisdictional police officers. All officers presented PowerPoint presentation regarding crime and security scenario of their respective jurisdictions.
Addressing the officers, SSP Bandipora, said that the jurisdictional supervisory officers must take all the measures to improve investigation and disposal of cases by personally monitoring the cases. He impressed upon the officers that periodic review meetings be held and sensational cases/heinous nature must be investigated under the direct supervision of the SDPOs. He stressed upon the officers to speed up the disposal of all pending cases especially narcotic cases and directed that quality of investigation and disposal of these cases needs improvement and stressed upon them to adopt latest techniques and standard practices which would bring improvement in investigation of the cases including cyber crimes.
SSP Bandipora also directed the officers to strengthen the security grid in their respective areas for ensuring peace and stability besides taking stringent action against those involved in antisocial activities. He also impressed that the COVID-19 SOPs/orders must be followed in letter & spirit.
