Covid-19 Positivity rate less than 2%, Recovery Rate 97.0%: DC Budgam.

Budgam: In his routine press briefing about COVID-19 status in District Budgam the DDC Budgam said situation has improved enormously all across district as since April , 1st District Budgam recorded 14170 positive cases of COVID-19 among these till date 13585 patients since have recovered.The DDC further said that at present there are only 503 positive cases across the district , Bed occupancy is very very low positivity rate has also come down drastically and , it is now below 2% he said the recovery rate has reached to 97.0%
Regarding vaccination status the DDC said it is going smoothly and steadily as about 80% of the population of the age group of 45 and above have been vaccinated. Simultaneously with regard to the age group of 18-44 ,vaccination drives are going on in full swing. Joint teams of Civil and Police administration are on toes to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 pandemic, the DC added.
Regarding easing of restrictions the DDC clarified that since the situation has improved gradually the administration has decide to allow the opening of shops, markets, other business establishments as now these will remain open 5 days a week from 7AM to 7PM. Apart from allowing the opening of Shops and simultaneous relaxation of their curbs, the public shall not let the things go beyond control as danger still has not been Averted. The DC once again appealed to the General Public to take adhering of all SOP’s and other guidelines strictly maintain social distancing to avoid gatherings to ensure no surge in covid positive cases is reported again.
