Srinagar: Police in Ganderbal on Thursday said that it has arrested seven persons and seized seven vehicles involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in the area.
In a statement issued here on Thursday police said that officers from Police Station Ganderbal led by SHO Ganderbal arrested seven persons and seized seven vehicles (Tippers) involved in extraction and transportation of raw materials illegally extracted from Sindh nallah, stating therein further that the accused have been also shifted to police station where they remain in custody.
In the concluding para of it’s above referred statement police said cases under relevant sections of law stands were alsoregistered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation has been initiated.
