B’pora: Seerat Tariq, a teenager girl from Bandipora has drawn a series of beautiful sketches with pencil and has been practising sketching from years. Despite meager sources to enhance her skills in art and sketching she isn’t not giving up on her childhood dreams. With only pencil and notebook she is drawing beautiful sketches and later on putting them on Instagram.

Seerat Tariq is winning hearts of the people on social media with her creative and imaginary sketches. People of Bandipora have heaped praises on the artwork of Seerat and her parents have also supported her in fulfilling her dreams.

Seerat has been a shining student from childhood is now in 10th standard but with limited sources she couldn’t chisel her skills of art which she aimed from the very childhood taking inspiration painting sketches.
“Although I belong to a middle class family, I want to be an artist. We are 05 members in family” Seerat said. Seerat says she has been doing sketches and paintings since her childhood, but the limited sources is becoming huge hurdle in her dream chase.

While she is reading in Army Goodwill School in 10th standard, she hasn’t lost her grip on doing art.

According to Seerat, she learnt Art designing during her school days when she was in 2nd standard after she first drew a painting of a duck, since then ‘it became her hobby,’ she said.

“In class 10th, I drew a sketch of Yawar, a famous bussinessman of Bandipora, and after being inspired by this portrait I used to spend much time drawing paintings”. Since then she has not looked back.
She said that her family has always supported and encouraged her in every field and in painting as well.
Seerat said, “due to non-availability of art academy I faced a problems in getting my work recognized or chiseled as I worked very hard to brush up my drawing skills and now by the grace of almighty, “I can draw”. She attributes her little success to his mother who she says is her best teacher, who boosted and motivated her.
Seerat says she can draw paintings on paper mache, Chinar Leaves, Stones and many more things also.
With a desire to become a good artist, Seerat avers that locals have to come forward to support the local art and that, she believes, is the only option of making the local art gain some more ground.
