Congress strongly condemns Sopore militant attack

Srinagar/June, 12:  The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) on Saturday  condemned the Sopore militant attack, describing it as “cowardice and mindless”. The Party also expressed anguish over the loss of precious live and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families of slain cops and civilians.

Condemning the killing of two Cops, three civilians in a militant attack in Sopore area of Baramulla District leaving other cops injured, JKPCC  expressed anguish over the loss of precious lives and termed the attack as mindless and shameful act committed by the militants. JKPCC in it’s above referred condemnation statement issued on Saturday expressed grave concern over the regular militant attack on Cops and other security forces and blamed the Govt for failing to contain the situation. “JKPCC condemn the Sopore militant attack in strongest words and expresses solidarity with the families of slain cops and civilians”,reads the JPCC statement, adding that ” JKPCC conveys its heartfelt condolences to bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace to slain cops and civilians”. JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Senior Congress Leaders & Former Minister Taj Mohi U Din, PCC Vice President Haji Abdul Rashid Dar as per the statement have strongly condemned the Sopore attack and blamed the failures of the Govt to deal with the situation. Sopore attack was extremely shocking and unfortunate, must be condemned by every section of the people, the leaders  added and expressed solidarity with the family of slain cops and civilians.
