Art Exhibition by JKCCA dedicated to front line warriors inaugurated

Jammu: 9th International Art Exhibition (Online) organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu was on Monday inaugurated by T S Batra, a senior artist & Former Principal, Institute of Music & Fine Arts (IMFA), University of Jammu. Pt. Kewal K Sharma, President JKCCA was the Guest of Honour on the occasion of inaugural ceremony. The Exhibition has been dedicated to the Front Line Warriors of Covid- 19 Pandemic to acknowledge their services for the cause of humanity.
According to O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA, ‘JKCCA has made efforts to organize 9th International Art Exhibition (Online), displaying the art of 100 artists of 16 states of the country and other countries of the world, will be a rich tributes to the Front Line Warriors who are working day & night for the wellness of the people of the whole world.’
The exhibition has been divided inti two segments i.e. Invitees’ Section and Artists’ Section. The participants in the artists category include artists from Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, New Delhi, Uttera Khand, Utter Pradesh, Ggujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Maharashtra, Talengana and Karnataka. These artists are Jasleen Singh, Amrit Kaur, Ashok Mehra, Santosh Tiku, Bodh Raj Baldhotra, Archana Choudhary, Sireesha Srinivas, Madhavi Sharma, Jammu, O P Sharma, Kamal Nain Bhan, Isha Sharma, Deepa Soni, Ganesh Kumar Sharma, Sanjogita Dogra, Shivani Bhat Koul, Sukhwinder Kaur, Rekha Sharma, Rajwinder Kaur, Tariq Saifi, Shiekh Ghulam Rasool, Aslam Naqishbandi, Masood Tabish, Rouf Qyasi and Kaunain Zubair, Shivali Jamwal and Vanshika Gupta, from Jammu & Kashmir, Babita Hundal and Pankaj Raina, Maninder Kaur, Dr. Kavita Singh, K S Gill, Dharminder Sharma, Atul Mattu, Kavi Chouhan, Sahil Sodhi and Mukesh Vig, Deepika and Dr. Sudhamani Sood, Punjab, Ved Prakash, Kamal Kishore, Dr. Rita Kashyap and Alphee Kumar, New Delhi, Mohammed Salim and Kanchan Potlia, Rajasthan, Rakesh K Koul, Dr. Preetika Verma and Dr. Nirupama Singh, Haryana, Priti Mishra, HP, Dr. Mamta Singh, Shailee Singhal, Uttra Khand, Kamna Chouhan, Pratima Singh and Shagufta Khanam, Anjana Chatterjee, Dr. Abha, Hema Sahu, Renuka Tyagi, Uddeshiya Divgaiyan, Dr. Mamta Verma, Vibha Singh, Dr. Rekha Rani Sharma, Dilip Kumar, Dr. Rashmi Saxena, De Bindu Awasthi and Dr. Neelam Kant, Utter Pradesh, Kamaljeet Chugh and Swati M Jain, MP, Moitery, Bihar, Yashwant Patel, Gujrat, Arpitha B Ruparel, MR, Shantala Madhu, Veena Vyas and Dr. Alka Chadha Harpalani, Karnataka, Ambarish Brahmachari, W Bengal, Aparazita Rahman, Mukti Bhowmik and Rifat Jahan Kanta, Bangla Desh, Mamta Patel, USA, Laura Caro and Raghav Dixit, UK.
The artists included in the invitees’ section are Mssrs. V S Rahi and Dr. A K Dixit, New Delhi, N D Jamwal, Gokel Dembi, M A Mehboob and Jang S. In his message T S Batra said that the works displayed in the exhibition are the collection of expressions of the artists on various themes in different mediums & techniques, and a reflection of what is happening in the world of art at global level. The art works displaying the divergent styles, techniques and expressions by the artists, in varied art genres would be visible in the 9th International Art Exhibition (online), curated by O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA. It may be mentioned here that JKCCA was established way back in 1999. It is a matter of satisfaction that the NGO has so far organized hundreds of art & culture activities within and outside Jammu & Kashmir.
