Vaccination intensified across the district to contain the pandemic: DC Kupwara

Kupwara: The Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din Friday said that the vaccination process has been intensified across Kupwara district to contain the Covid pandemic.
The DC was addressing media persons here to brief them about the status of Covid containment measures taken in the district.
He said that the positive rate of cases has come down to 5.49 percent in the district adding that sampling is being continuously increased to know the positive trend of covid cases.
The DC said that the district recorded 87.35 percent recovery rate of positive cases which is a good indication of the measures taken by District Administration in tackling the covid situation. He also said that there are currently 1435 active cases in the district.
Meanwhile, the DC appealed to the people to continue following the Covid appropriate behaviour by wearing masks, maintaining social distance and using sanitizers to prevent its further spread.
