25 bovine animals rescued in, four accused arrested : Police

Jammu: Police in Jammu on Monday said that it has rescued 25 bovine animals in Domana Jammu and also arrested four accused in this connection.
In a statement issued on Monday Police said “Acting on the menace of bovine smuggling, Jammu Police has rescued 25 bovine animals at different locations in the jurisdictions of PS Domana and PP Beli Charana’, adding that “ two vehicles bearing Registration Nos. JK02AP-6355 and JK02AD-5527 were been seized”.
Stating that case FIR. No. 146/ 21 u/s 188 IPC,11 PCA got registered at PS Domana and cognizance under section 188/IPC 3PCA ACT taken by PP Beli Charana and accused was arrested, police in it’s above referred statement further said that the accused arrested have been identified as Sajjid Hafeez S/o Ab.Hafeez R/o Surnkot,Poonch, arrested by PS Domana, Mohd.Sharief R/o Talwara, Reasi arrested by PS Domana, Reyaz Ahmed S/o Gulam Ahmad R/o Anantnag, arrested by PP Beli Charana and Kala S/o Mohd shafi R/o R S Pura, arrested by PP Beli Charana
Saying that the overall arrest and recoveries have been made by SHO P/S Domana Inspr. Mahesh Sharma and I/C PP Beli Charana ASI Sanjeet Singh, police in it’s statement said that further investigation of the cases is going on.
Police in the concluding para of it’s statement said district police Jammu is striving hard and taking every possible step to curb the bovine smuggling menace.
