DC Ramban discusses formulation of annual plan under distt Capex Budget 2021-22

Ramban: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam Saturday chaired a meeting regarding formulation of annual plan under District Capex Budget 2021-22, here in his office chamber.
ADC, Harbans Lal, CPO, Dr. Kasturi Lal, ACD, Zameer Ahmed Rishu, AC Panchayat, S. Swran Singh, DPO, Executive Engineers PWD, and senior officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the DC reviewed progress made by the various departments including Education, PWD, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj on formulation of development plan as per ceiling given to them. Besides the guidelines and directions to formulate the sector wise and work wise Action plan was also discussed in detail.
While discussing the issue regarding registration of contractors at Panchayat level, the DC asked for informing the Superintendent Engineers of PWD and Jal Shakti Doda to hold contractor registration camps in the district Ramban to prevent mass movement of aspiring contractors amid surge in Covid positive cases.
The DC directed all the departments to ensure the formulation of the plan in consultation with members of Panchayati Raj institutions. He also stressed on projecting only those works/projects which will benefit maximum number of people and shall be completed in the working period of the current financial year.
The DC also exhorted upon all the officers to formulate the local plan in accordance with the ceiling conveyed to them and to ensure the optimum use of available resources.
Threadbare discussion on key centrally sponsored schemes which are part of the District Development Plan like, Area Development Fund, MGNREGA and Jal Jeevan Mission were held in the meeting and necessary directions were passed to the concerned.
