Jammu/ May,26 : Police in Jammu on Wednesday said that it has rescued 35 bovine animals at Nagrota in Jammu district.
In a statement issued on Wednesday police said “Jammu Police has rescued 35 bovine animals at Ban Toll Plaza Naka and three vehicles bearing Registration Nos.JK02W/2867, JK02A/7442 and JK02S/9513 have also been seized”.
Stating that In this regard, three cases under FIR No. 225/2021, FIR No. 226/2021 and FIR No. 227/2021 under relevant section of law were registered in police station Nagrota, police in it’s statement further said that the accused was arrested”. The accused arrested, according to have been identified as Muneer Ahmed S/o Abdul Rashid R/o Mazmoo Anantnag, Sher Ali S/o Main R/o Kana Kasa Reasi, and Liaqat Ali S/o Mohd shafi R/o Seri Khurd Nagrota.
“The overall arrest and recoveries have been made by SHO P/S Nagrota Inspr. Mohd Showkat under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Sh. Parupkar Singh and further investigation of the case is going on”, reads the police statement, adding that “District Police Jammu is striving hard and taking every possible step to curb the bovine smuggling menace and advises people to share information about bovine smuggling with police for timely intervention for the cause”.
