Srinagar, May 25:Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) senior leaders today urged the government to make anti Covid-19 vaccines available at sub-centers in all districts and blocks.
The leaders including JKPCC vice president, G N Monga and Mohammad Anwar Bhat, senior leader and former minister G M Saroori, Khem Lata Wakhloo (senior leader and ex minister), Imtiyaz Khan (senior leader), Inyat-ullah Rather (DDC member), Altaf Ahamd Mir, Maroof Ahmad, Muhstaq Bazaz (senior leaders) and others had a virtual meeting on Monday where they demanded that a door-to-door campaign was needed to make people aware about the COVID pandemic and need for vaccination.
They also urged the government to make vaccines readily available and also provide all medical facilities to COVID positive patients in home quarantine. “Before panchayat level 5-beded facilities, as announced by the government recently, are created, it needs to be looked into whether the proper infrastructure is available or not,” they said.
Besides, the leaders expressed serious concern over the reports that duplicate Oxymiterers were being sold in the market and asked the administration to ensure that such dealers and shopkeepers are booked at the earliest.
The JKPCC leader also demanded that in view of the prevailing COVID-19 lockdown, construction work may be allowed during night so that developmental activities are not halted completely.
They also urged people to follow COVID protocols and go for vaccination at the earliest.
