Srinagar: Amid surge in COVID-19 cases and deaths, Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered a total of 94 FIRs , arrested 184 people and also realised fine of Rs 1,41,840 /- from 910 in the last 24 hours in Kashmir for defying the prevailing lockdown restrictions aimed at containing the disease transmission.
In a statement issued on Monday police said that it is taking all measures to implement strict lockdown restriction announced by the government for containing community transmission of the covid -19 pandemic”.
Stating that the special drive against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines/rules continued in all valley districts to ensure strict adherence to SOPs/ guidelines envisaged by government to curb COVID-19 pandemic, police in the concluded para of it’s above referred statement appealed people to cooperate with it in containing the spread of Coronavirus by following the SOPs/ guidelines/ protocols for the safety of the people, reiterating therein that the special drive shall continue throughout the districts of Kashmir Valley to strengthen the safety measures.
