Jammu/ May, 23 : Police in Jammu on Sunday said that it has seized 1000 litres of diesel from five barrels at Kahnachak Jammu.
In a statement issued on Sunday police said “In an act of alertness and prompt action, police team of PS Kahna Chak led by SHO P/S Kahna Chak Inspr. Vishav Partap Singh while on naka duty at Kahna Chak Camp near Hanuman temple rounded up a suspect namely Ram Paul S/O Manu Ram R/O Kahna Chak Camp who was coming from Jammu towards Lalyal in a vehicle bearing registration No JK02CL /9347 and during searches five drums filled with 1000 liters of diesel were found without any permission and authorization”.
Stating that case, FIR No 72/2021 U/S 3/7 Essential Commodities Act was registered in P/S Kahnachak and accused was also arrested, police in it’s statement said “the overall arrest and recovery was made under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sh. Kosheen Koul”, adding that “further investigation of the case is going on” .
