Chairman DDC, DC Kupwara review facilities at Covid Hospital Langate, CHC Zachaldara

Kupwara: The Chairman, District Development Council (DDC), Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Panditpori and Deputy Commissioner, (DC) Kupwara, Imam Din Saturday conducted an extensive tour of Handwara subdivision, to take stock of Covid containment measures and review pace of developmental activities being carried out in the area.
The Chairman and the DC inspected Sub District Hospital(SDH) Langate and reviewed the facilities on ground. It was informed on the occasion that the SDH has been designated as Covid Hospital with 50 bed capacity for admission of mild Covid cases, who require low oxygen flow.
It was also informed that 25 beds are supported by 25 oxygen cylinders while as other 25 beds are supported by High Flow Concentrators with capacity of 10 litres per minute.
The Deputy Commissioner, on the occasion directed concerned officers to ensure proper sanitation in the Hospital premises and make all bathrooms functional in the hospital instantly.
He directed the CMO and concerned Block Medical officer to facilitate all Covid positive cases, having mild symptoms with proper tele consultations.
During the visit, the Chairman, DDC and the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara visited other areas of Handwara subdivision including Mawer and Rajwar area. They also took stock of desilting of Nallah Mawer.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited the Bakhiakar area of Rajwar where people and the public representatives projected various developmental issues and demands. The Deputy Commissioner directed Executive Engineer R&B to prepare DPR for the Bridge at Bakhihaker at an earliest.
He also inspected Community Health Centre Zachaldara which has been designated as Panchayat Covid Care Centre of two panchayats. The DC inspected various sections of the hospital including Covid Vaccination Centre, Laboratory and Emergency Room.
The DDC Member Langate, Khursheed Ahmad Dar, DDC Member Rajwar, Mohammad Suliman Mir, CMO Kupwara/ Nodal Officer Covid, Dr Abdul Gani Dar, BMO Langate, Ex. Engineer R&B and other concerned officers accompanied the dignitaries during the tour.
