Srinagar : Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference Sajad Gani Lone on Saturday said that the employment status of Anganwari workers and Asha workers is under perpetual threat. Asking the Government to under the value of the services of these grassroot level workers Lone alleged that bureaucrats tske the credit of their services.
Taking to micro blogging social networking site Lone said “Spare a thought for Asha workers and Anganwari workers. They are key to winning the covid war. From checking oxygen levels in a village to using rapid tests. They could arrest the spread covid at the village level. The employment status of these workers is under perpetual threat.” In yet another tweet Lone said” the employment status of these workers has always been under threat. They are taunted to be on a sinecure. Because they do their job silently ans some Babu takes credit. Hope governments understand the value of these grassroot level workers and don’t c them as a burden”.
