Srinagar: Police on Sunday arrested 10 violators of covid lockdown, registered 10 FIRs and penalised 907 violators for defying the restriction imposed to prevent the current spread of covid-19 pandemic.
A police statement issued on Sunday said “ Implementing the Covid-19 guidelines/SOPs/restrictions strictly throughout the valley police in a series of action during the last 24hrs arrested 19 persons, lodged 10 FIRs and also realized fine to the tune of ?144,270/- from 907 people for violating the guidelines/rules throughout Kashmir valley”.
Giving a detailed account of it’s day long actions police in statement issued police in it’s above referred statement on Sunday said that the special drive against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines/rules continued in all the districts of Kashmir Valley to ensure that people adhere to SOPs/ guidelines envisaged by government to curb COVID-19 pandemic.
In the concluding para of its statement police appealed people to cooperate with it in containing the spread of Coronavirus by following the SOPs/ guidelines/ protocols for the safety of the people, reiterating therein that special drive shall remain continue throughout the districts of Kashmir Valley to strengthen the safety measures.
