Jammu: Police in Jammu on Friday said that it has seized six vehicles involved in illegal mining
A police statement issued on Friday said “ Continuing it’s drive against the menace of illegal mining, Jammu Police of P/S Kahna Chak, P/S Nagrota, I/C PP Jourian and P/S Satwari acted stringently on the specific inputs and raided at different locations in their respective areas thereby seizing six vehicles viz (Two dumpers, One Tipper, Three tractor trollies) involved in illegal mining”. Details of the vehicles seized as per the police statement are are as under:
1. One dumper bearing Registration No JK02CS 3699 by P/S Kahna Chak
2. One Tipper bearing Registration No. JK02AN 7465 by P/S Nagrota
3. One dumper bearing Registration No JK12B 0810 by PP Jourian
4. Three tractor trollies i.e one bearing Registration No. JK02BD/9925 and two bearing Chasis Nos. JG00769 and INNHJ 04093 by P/S Satwari.
“The mining was done in violation of order of J&K High Court. In order to strictly implement the drive against illegal mining and to tighten noose against the violators of the law Jammu Police has initiated strict action”, reads the concluding para of the police statement.
