Ensure implementation of stringent containment measures in the district: DM G’bal

G’bal: The District Magistrate (DM) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna Thursday directed the officers to ensure implementation of stringent containment measures in the district.
The DM made these remarks during a meeting to review the imposition of curfew from Thursday 07:00 PM to Monday 07:00 AM.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held regarding the permissible and non-permissible activities during the corona curfew, vaccination drive and other measures that need to be implemented for the containment of virus.
The DC directed the concerned to ensure strict implementation of curfew in the district and permissible activities shall be permitted as per the guidelines.
The meeting also discussed the progress on the vaccination campaign and directed the CMO that the vaccination drive shall not be halted and localized mobile teams shall be constituted in colonies, residential areas and containment areas.
She also asked the CMO to establish telemedicine facilities for patients isolating at home besides dedicated control room numbers shall be widely publicized.
Meanwhile, the DM appealed to the people to obey the orders as section 51 of the Disaster Management Act is ordered in the district that provides for penalties in case a person obstructs any officer or employee in discharge of his functions or refuses to comply with any direction given under this act. Any violation of the directions shall lead to prosecution under the said act.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Farooq Ahmad Baba, ACR, CPO, CMO, Dy. CEO and other concerned.
