Baramulla: An amount of Rs 23.5 lakh has been sanctioned in favour of militancy affected victims in this north Kashmir district, an official spokesman said here today.
He said a meeting of District Level Screening-cum- Co-ordination Committee (DLSCC) was held here today under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Baramulla, Dr Nassir Ahmad Naqash.
He said 40 cases were taken up, out of which 19 were cleared and some cases were deferred for want of clarification and permission for re-examination.
Out of the 19 cases, one pertained to cash compensation in lieu of government employement for which Rs 4 lakh were sanctioned, he said ading five cases were cleared for appointment. The eligibility including qualification of the applicants was also taken into account while deciding the appointments cases. The reports from Police, CID and Army were thoroughly discussed while deciding the cases.
He said Rs.16.5 lacs were sanctioned in favour of 10 cases for property damaged besides Rs 3 lacs were sanctioned in 3 death cases.
