G’bal: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna Friday chaired a meeting to discuss District Development Plan formulation 2021-22 at Conference Hall Mini Secretariat, here.
At the outset, Chief Planning Officer (CPO) presented a detailed preview of District Development Plan, its system of formulation and implementation besides overall plan ceiling for district under 3 tier PR system at DDCs, BDCs and panchayat level through power point presentation.
The DC asked the officers to formulate the plan in due consultation with PRIs, BDCs and DDCs of the district. She said that key issues should be identified within the domain of functions of the District Development Plan and use available resources to address the issues being faced by the common people.
The DC said that under this ceiling plan for district Rs. 185.06 Crore have been approved and simultaneously provided including shares from its District Capex component, loan, CSS and Matching state share.
She said development plan focus and monitoring will be on those projects that have high visibility, higher impact and high implementability. Simultaneously projects which do not have adequate preparedness for implementation shall not be taken up.
She urged that while formulating any plan each work be identified with reason and justification and requirement status to ensure equitable development. She said each BDC Grant has been fixed at Rs. 25.00 lacs per Block and Rs 23.30 lakh per panchayat.
Simultaneously, the DDC Grant will be at Rs. 10 Crore to execute the plan at DDC level. It will be necessary to ensure that issues between different blocks are addressed, where it involves more than one Block, such issues shall be addressed at District Level.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Irfan Giri, SE R&B, Executive Engineers of R&B, Jal Shakti, PMGSY, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal and other officers of the concerned departments.
