Abdullahs, Mir, Bukhari condole demise of Moulana Wahid Ud Din Khan

Srinagar: National Conference (NC) Party President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah, Congress Party’s J&K President Gh Ahmad Mir and J&K Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Thursday expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of noted theologian, Scholar and recipient of Padma Bushan award Moulana Wahid Ud Din Khan, who breathed his last at Delhi’s Apollo Hospital.
In his condolence message on the demise of Moulana Wahid Ud Din, Dr. Farooq said, “The passing away of Molana Sahib deeply saddened me. He will be remembered for his erudite perceptive on theology, and religion. He had adopted peacemaking as a principal mission in his life. A link between traditional disciplines and modern sciences, his approach towards theology was distinct. On his demise, I pay my earnest tributes to him and pray to Almighty to grant him the highest stations in the Jannat. I also express my heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, admirers and followers of his at this difficult time. Moulana Sahib’s passing away has undeniably created a void in the field of Islamic learning which would not be filled for many years to come,” he said.
National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah in his condolence message on the demise of Moulana Wahid Ud Din Khan said, “It was his advocacy of peace, espousal of the cause of communal harmony, and profundity of exposition of various Islamic tenets that made him a much appreciated figure around the globe. His works and lectures will help inquisitive minds, intellectuals and seekers to find purpose in their life. His demise has saddened me, I pray to Almighty to bestow highest echelons to the departed soul in Jannat, and forbearance to the bereaved family, followers , and admirers of his,” he said.
In his condolence message Congress Party’s J&K President Ghulam Ahmad Mir expressed profound grief over the passing away of renowned Islamic scholar Maulana Wahiuddin Khan. Deeply saddened to hear about the passing away of Maulana Wahiuddin Khan, may the Almighty grant him eternal peace, G A Mir said in his condolence message.He conveyed deepest condolences to family and friends of Maulana and sympathized with them.
In his condolence message the J&K Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of renowned Islamic scholar and spiritual leader Maulana Wahiduddin Khan who breathed his last at Delhi’s Apollo Hospital Thursday this week. Bukhari said Maulana Wahiduddin Khan will always be remembered as a stalwart Islamic scholar who worked primarily for communal harmony and clearing doubts about Islam. “He had strong hold on various Islamic sciences and modern philosophies, besides his profound services to Islam and propagation of communal harmony in the country that won him Padma Vibhushan,” he said. He prayed for the eternal peace to the departed soul and expressed his solidarity with the bereaved family, friends and his devotees.
