Resolve all issues for smooth execution of projects: DDC Ang, takes review of power sector

Anantnag:The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag Dr. Piyush Singla Saturday directed the officers of PDD to resolve all issues like Right Of Way, Court cases, contractor and land compensation issues and expedite the work so that the projects are completed in a time bound manner.
He passed these directions while taking a holistic review meeting of the power sector here at DC office Anantnag.
Expressing full support to the department for resolving these issues, Dr. Singla enjoined upon the revenue officials to actively cooperate with the PDD officials in this regard.
Re-emphasising on smooth power supply during the Holy Month of Ramdan especially at Sehri and Iftar times, the DDC directed for minimising the curtailment hours besides ensuring no unscheduled power cuts.
He also called for adequate publicity of the curtailment schedule by the power authorities so that the people are fully aware about it.
Dr. Singla exhorted for dovetailing the system operations besides ensuring full coordination among different wings like TLMD, STD etc so the department delivers at optimum potential.
He also directed handover/takeover formalities of the completed projects so the laid out infrastructure is utilised at an earliest for larger public good.
Earlier, SEs KPDCL and Projects informed the meeting about the functioning of their respective wings besides status and achievements of their projects and schemes in the district.
It was informed System Improvement Scheme Dooru Constituency and segregation of 11 KV Feeders except for Hiller Feeder have achieved cent percent completion.
It was also given out that the Regional Transformer Repairing Workshop Anantnag is near completion besides augmentation of Gopalpora Mattan and Lisser Sagam Grid Stations will be completed this year.
Mattan Town has been fully covered under IPDS, PMDP along with the handover/takeover formalities and Shangus town is near completion, the meeting was further informed.
The meeting was also attended by CPO, Ex. Engineers, AEEs and Technical officers of PDD, Tehsildar Anantnag and other concerned officials.
