Block Diwas functions held in Kulgam

Kulgam: The District Administration Kulgam Wednesday held Mega Block Diwas functions at 3 blocks of the district to take appraisal of public issues, grievances and demands.
The functions were held at Devsar, Kulgam and D. H. Pora blocks of the district where officers and officials from line departments listened to issues, grievances and demands of the people for timely redressal at all the three venues.
Meanwhile to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat remained available at grievance redressal camp which was held here at Mini-secretariat where he listened to the grievances and issues of people for prompt redressal.
People from areas including, Bugam, Qaimoo,Pombay, Yaripora, Chawalgam, Khee, Zaban Matipora, and other areas apprised the Deputy Commissioner about various issues and put forth their demands during the programme.
Locals also raised issues including augmentation of drinking water supply and electricity, widening and repairment of roads, better health care facilities, and other issues of public importance.
On spot directions were passed by the Deputy Commissioner for early redressal of various issues and grievances moreover several issues were also redressed on spot.
Speaking on the Occasion DC said that the main objective of the programme is to mitigate the issues and grievances of the people.
He also directed the officers and officials of all departments to remain available for public and act upon on priority.
The DC also greeted people on the holy month of Ramazan and appealed them to adhere to COVID-19 SOPs in mosques, Shrines and all other places to stop the spread of Coronavirus infection.
He also urged the people to take vaccine jabs from nearest vaccination centres.
Present on the occasion were District Development Council members, BDC chairperson, and other PRI members.
Besides District Officers, Tehsildar, BMO, BDO’s and other officers and a large number of general public participated in the programme.
Moreover to take first hand appraisal of grievances and public issues ADC, listened to the public at Block D. H. Pora and ACR remained present at block Devsar.
