Srinagar/April, 7: As token of its contribution towards achieving ‘Building A Fairer and Healthier world”, this year’s slogan for World Health Day, Voluntary Medicare Society, Bemina on Wednesday organised a free medical camp for poor patients at its newly built Poly Clinic.
Noted physician and Chest Diseases specialist, Dr Manzoor Ahmad attended 60 of the 85 patients attending the camp, presenting mostly with chronic chest & upper Respiratory Tract diseases. Some diabetic patients also were examined and advised on the disease management. Similarly some hyperthyroidism cases were also detected during on spot testing. The staff of VMS offered the services to the patients . The VMS authorities ensured that Covid protocol is strictly followed by the patients and supporting staff. The effort by VMS was hailed by the people who appreciated its role in extending various health services to the people particularly the Persons with Disabilities or PwDs and underprivileged sections of the society.
