Srinagar: Police on Saturday recovered arms and ammunition during a search operation in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police statement said that acting upon a specific information a search operation was conducted by Budgam Police and 53RR in the forest area of village Shanipora Khan Sahab area of Budgam.
The police in it’s statement further said that during search operation, incriminating material of proscribed militant outfit LeT & cache of arms and ammunition including 01 Chinese Pistol-9 MM, 01 UBGL, 04 UBGL Rounds, 04 Pistol Magazines, 03 Radio Set Antina, 03 Rounds of 7.62 mm, 01 Battery, 98 Rounds of 9 mm and 01 Bonnet Cover were recovered.
“In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 44/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Khan Sahab and further investigation has been taken up”, the concluding para of the statement reads.
