28th annual Football Championship: J&K Bank XI , Real Kashmir FC (R) qualify for the final Round

Srinagar: Two Semifinal matches of Kashmir Edition of 28th Annual Football Championship 2020-21 were played today the Ist of April 2021 at TRC Turf Ground. The first Semifinal match was played between J&K Bank XI and Lonestar KFC. A high voltage match with both the teams playing aggressive Football to take the lead in the initial stage of the match. They made certain brilliant moves but could not penetrate a solid defence lineup. Both the teams exhibited perfect ball control, man to man marking and superb head work. Towards the end of first half Lonestar KFC tried to dominate but their efforts failed to take the lead. The first half ended goalless.in 55th minute Danish of J&K Bank Xi made no mistake in converting a goal through a fantastic header.lonestar Players tried hard to equalize but could not find the net. They missed at least two good chances to score. Thus J&K Bank XI defetaed Lonestar KFC by a solitary goal and qualified for the final Round of the Championship. The 2nd match was played between Real Kashmir FC (R) & JK SPDC XI. Both the teams started with aggressive note & and JKSPDC boys scored a marvellous goal through Yasir in the 15th minute of the game. RKFC boys consolidate their position and made two counter attacks and scored two goals through Ateeb ahmad in 30th and 36th minute of Ist half. At half time RKFC was leading by two goals to one. In the second half RKFC made a collective move and scored another Class goal through Ateeb. This way Ateeb scored a hatric for RKFC. RKFC defeated JKSPDC by three goals to one and qualified for the Final round of the Kashmir Div.
The Semifinal lineup for the Championahip is as under. On Saturday 3rd April 2021 the Ist Semifinal will be played between J&K BANK XI & Hero’s Football Club, Jammu 2PM Sharp & 2ND Semifinal will be played between RKFC & J&K Police XI at 4PM at TRC Turf Srinagar on the same day.
The Tournament is organized by JKFA and is sponsored by JKSC.
