Shopian: District Development Commissioner, Shopian Friday held an interactive session with children of Government run Orphanage, Pinjura.
The aim to organize the interactive session was to make the children feel that they are important and deserve equal attention and care. The students shared their ideas with District Development Commissioner and were found quite jubilant.
The District Development Commissioner said that these children occupy a special place in our hearts and efforts should be made on all fronts to make their lives better. He distributed gift packs and eatables among them. He said that ensuring better facilities to these children is the top priority of the Administration and various steps have been initiated in this regards. He also appealed people in general to come forward and contribute generously for the well-being of this section of society.
Reviewing the facilities being provided to these children in the institute, the District Development Commissioner directed the concerned for ensuring provision of quality food and education. Procure and provide nutrition as per the prescribed guidelines and norms, he asked the concerned. Among others, ACD, District Social welfare officer, warden and other concerned officials were also present.
