Srinagar/March, 28 :  Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) has threatened to hit streets  if the genuine issues of teachers and masters are not resolved in a stipulated time. The leadership of the JKTJAC urged  Lt Governor headed administration to resolve the long pending issues of teachers at an earliest.
In a joint  press statement Vice Chairman Rayaz Ur Rehman and General Secretary Saleem Sagar have shown their concern over the Procrastination in resolving the long pending issues of teachers. They said several times the delegations of JKTJAC leadership represented the issues of teachers to administrative Secretary and the DSEK, but in response only assurances were given to the representatives and no issue has been addressed on ground from last two years. The issues include :
1. Stagnation of Ret cadre teachers from last 15 to twenty years who have never been included in the transfer lists.
2. Pending Files of Ev Converted RETs for Regularisation from last Five years in the office of DSEK, and DSEJ.
3. Pending Files of SSA RRTs for transition Grade II and grade III teachers which are pending in DESK from Last three years.
4. Pending Salary of some teachers from last two years who are suffering badly.
5. Delay in IN-SITU promotions of all cadres in CEO offices by DSEK.
6. Delay in publishing the promotion list from teacher to master grade and other.
7.  The rationalisation of  female teachers  on marriage grounds should be considered strictly till the transfer policy May be made in favour of erstwhile Ret teachers.
JKTJAC leadership have said that  teachers on one hand are trying their best to get the education sector on track at grass root level but the higher authorities of Education department have on the other hand always turned their  deaf ear towards the issues of teachers .
JKTJAC leadership has urged LG led administration to look into the matter and address  the long pending issues of the teaching community, so that they can perform their duties  smoothly and efficiently. So the the JKTJAC leadership may not chose to call a maga protest and the teachers will come on roads for their genuine rights. “If it happened the authorities would be responsible”, they added.
